Study Abroad in Kenya In Summer 2009 |
The
Provost Office has approved the International Education
Center and the College of Business and Economics to add
a new program intended to provide more choices for
academic enhancement and internationalization of RU’s
curriculum. The Program, Kenya and the African
Renaissance in the New Global Economy, includes
three-weeks in Kenya, East Africa, with travel beginning
on/about June 20, 2009. The Program is open to COBE
students and students from other departments (such as,
history, African Study, political science, international
relations), provided they obtain appropriate approval
from their respective departments. It is also open to
students from other universities. For more

A RU Study Abroad Award of $500 by the International
Education Center is available for applicant who have not
previously received Study Abroad Awards. |

of Economics |

 Dr.
George Santopietro, Professor of
Economics, has been
named chair of
the Department of Economics. Dr.
Santopietro succeeds Dr.
Nozar Hashemzadeh who has
returned to full time
teaching in the department.
